1. Overview
This page explains what you can do with stencils you make in the Stencify app, what happens to the reference images you use, and the terms for the free printable stencils on this website. If something here is unclear, email us before you use a design commercially.
2. Stencils you create
The stencils you make in Stencify are yours to use. You can:
- Tattoo them on clients, including paid work
- Print them on thermal or inkjet stencil paper, or use them on a tablet or screen
- Show them in your portfolio and on social media
- Draw on, edit and combine them with your own work
- Sell flash sheets or prints that include them
You can keep using stencils you made after your subscription ends. A subscription is needed to make new ones, not to use the ones you already have.
3. What is not allowed
- Using Stencify to build or run a competing stencil or image generation service
- Copying, reverse engineering or automating the app to extract its output in bulk
- Uploading images you have no right to use (see section 5)
4. Attribution
Credit is not required. If you want to tag Stencify when you share a stencil, we appreciate it.
5. Your reference images and copyright
You keep all rights to the photos, sketches and text descriptions you use in Stencify. By submitting them, you give us permission to process them, through Google's Gemini API, only to create your stencil. How this data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Only use references you own or have permission to use. A stencil made from someone else's artwork, photo or flash is still based on their work, and making it in Stencify does not give you rights to it. Ask the original artist before you tattoo or sell a design based on their work.
6. Free printables on this website
The free printable stencils and templates offered on this website can be printed and tattooed, on practice skin or on clients, without credit. You may not resell, redistribute or re-upload the files themselves, on their own or as part of a pack.
7. Website components
This website uses:
- Inter typeface, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1
- Tailwind CSS, under the MIT License
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on this website or made with Stencify infringes your copyright, email info@stencifyapp.com with the subject "Copyright complaint" and include:
- The work you believe was copied
- Where the material appears (a link or screenshot)
- Your name and contact details
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised
- A statement that the information is accurate and that you own the rights or act for the owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
9. Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Stencify after a change means you accept the updated terms.
