What is included
- Image to stencil. Upload a photo or sketch and get clean line work in about 30 seconds.
- Text to tattoo. Describe a design and the app generates a stencil-ready drawing.
- AI edit by text. Type a change ("remove the background", "thicker outline") instead of redrawing.
- AI try-on. Preview the design on a body model or on a photo of your client, at real size.
- Line weight and contrast controls. Set how bold the stencil prints before you export.
- PNG or PDF export. Sized for A4 or US letter stencil paper, ready for a thermal printer or hand transfer.
- Both platforms. iPhone, iPad and Android, with the same features on each.
How the price compares
Stencify is the lowest flat price among the stencil apps we track. Ghostline is $59.99 a year and Apple-only. Stencil AI starts at $140 a year on a credit system. Line Ripper is free for five stencils a month and $19 a month beyond that. The full breakdown, with features and platforms, is in the tattoo stencil app comparisons.
Who the subscription is for
Working tattoo artists and apprentices who convert client references regularly. If you need one stencil, the two free uses may be enough. If you convert a few references a week, the annual plan costs less than a single sheet of premium stencil paper per month.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?
Stencify gives you two free uses of the AI features (image to stencil, text to tattoo, AI edit and AI try-on) before asking you to subscribe. There is no time-limited trial; the two uses do not expire.
What does the subscription include?
Unlimited photo and sketch conversions, text-to-tattoo generation, editing by text prompt, AI try-on on a body model or your own photo, line weight and contrast controls, and PNG or PDF export sized for stencil paper, on iPhone, iPad and Android.
How much is Stencify per month?
Stencify is not sold monthly. The weekly plan is $4.99 and the annual plan is $47.99, which works out to about $4 a month. The annual plan is the cheaper option for anyone who converts more than a couple of stencils a month.
Is the price the same on Google Play?
The plans are the same. Google Play shows in-app purchases from $4.99 to $47.99 and bills in your local currency, so the exact figure depends on your country and exchange rate.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel from your App Store subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions screen at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Why is there a $35.99 annual price in the app?
That is a discounted annual plan offered inside the app at certain times. When it is shown to you, it is the best price; otherwise the standard annual plan is $47.99.
